LIVES BRIGHTER BRUNCH & AUCTION
PHILADELPHIA, PA, February
20, 2008---Calcutta House will hold its Annual Brunch &
Silent Auction, a benefit for homeless adults living with AIDS, on
Sunday April 13, 2008 from 12pm-3pm at The Phoenix, a recently renovated

residents are encouraged to overcome their multiple obstacles of
homelessness, AIDS, and mental health issues.
The year’s auction will
feature tickets to art & cultural events, hand made gifts, sporting
events, electronics, 1-week stays at vacation homes, and children’s toys
and games. Many of these items will be silent auction items, while the
most prized items will be reserved for live auction during the event.
The lineup of the event
includes Ruth Naomi Floyd, a gifted recording artist from the
Philadelphia area, who will perform several sets of contemporary jazz
and vocals throughout the event. Hosted by MC Henri David, jewelry
entrepreneur well known for his gregarious nature and lively charity
benefits & annual parties, this year’s brunch & auction expects to
double in attendance and fundraising. This year’s sponsors already
include Sarah Keating, owner of the Phoenix Salon & Spa and Director of
Marketing for the Phoenix Condominiums, Dan Keating, Developer of the
Phoenix Condominiums, and Starbucks.
